This was a great place to eat. This was not what I used to for sea food. This is a southern Cajun style feed fest. I loved it and the food was excellent. The decore was fun and interesting and kept the kids entertained. I had the oyster basket with Cajun seasoned fries. My wife had the lobster bisque, and my sister had the flounder basket. We were all happy with what we decided on. It was good and a really treat. With that said, we decided, while we were in the restaurant, that we were going to go back and we needed to get a seafood boile. Those looked amazing, and I want to try one. I highly recommend it, and I'm going back.
My husband and I have made this place our staple seafood joint in the local area. We’ve gone when they were having their best days and have seen them at their worst as well, which was not often. With all things considered, this place keeps bringing us back. Their seafood is nicely portioned, very affordable, and since we get the hook and reel special blend- is also very flavorful. At their best, everything is cooked to perfection. At their worst, on a very busy night, you won’t have everything cooked to perfection (happened once out of the ten times we’ve gone.) As for service, I wish I had gotten the waitress’s name, but she made our recent experience extra special. They had a Valentine’s Day special and she was very informative, funny/friendly, and our drinks never ran empty. Our recent experience was 10/10. My only critique, and I hope the owner sees this, but fix that ramen. Buttered ramen is not the way to go when mixing it into a buttered drenched seafood boil. Also people like the wavy noodles.
Lara served us this afternoon... while she was SUPER busy she still managed to be so personable and keep our drinks full! It seemed like she was also the bartender and she was legit RUNNING! Superior service from her! And the food was amazing as always when coming to any hook and reel!
I absolutely love seafood, and it's hard to find quality seafood. I have been wanting to try this place. My immediate first impression was the service from the moment I walked in. I was greeted in a very friendly and welcoming manner. The atmosphere was really inviting and fun. My server was Janica, and she was amazing. She was super cool and was top-notch. The food selection was great, but it was also not overwhelming. Everything i ate was fantastic, and there was a lot of food. The best clam chowder I've ever had, and the crab boil was delicious. Get the beignets, they don't disappoint. I will be back! recommend!
Laura and Bailey provided us outstanding service. Came to celebrate husband’s birthday. They wished him a great birthday and sent us home with a complimentary dessert. The clam chowder, mussel special, and chicken salad were so delicious. The restaurant was clean, great music and inviting. Permanently on our restaurant rotation!
